THE BASIC SCIENTIFIC RESULTS

In area of research Earth interiors by the Free Oscillations of the Earth (1971-1983):

• Has solved a problem of "Base line corrections" at construction of Global models of an internal structure of the Earth by introduction dynamic (it is frequency dependent) shear modulus. Has shown, that classical models of the Earth (PREM) it is necessary to build on reference frequency 1 Hz.

• Has developed  the perturbation theory for excitation of free oscillation in unelastic-layered Earth.

• The first time has revealed a spectrum of free oscillation of the Earth on the basis of long term records in Armenia of strong earthquakes of the world.

In area of seismotectonics and remote sensing (1980-1987):

• Has developed the dynamic plate tectonic model of Tauro-Caucasus region.

• Developed system of collection seismopredictional information through an satellite.

In the field estimation of seismic effect on buildings and a construction (1988-1992):

• Investigated of amplification response spectrum for layer soil of Ararat sedimentary basin.

• Member of expert group of an estimation of seismicity on a platform of the Armenian Nucler Power Plant (after Spitak earthquake).

• Investigate ground of III categories on seismic properties and has given the recommendation, with the purpose of specification Building Norms and Rules (SNiP) of Armenia.

In area of earthquake prediction (1985-2007):

• Has entered concepts of quantum microearthquake, seismic systems, density of seismic system state and seismic entropy.

• Has developed a universal method of the quantitative description of seismic processes and the forecast of earthquakes.

• Has developed computer technology of the forecast of earthquakes and realized it for 30 seismoactive regions of the world.
